AJ Winter specialises in the sympathetic renovation, conservation & restoration of period, listed and contemporary homes.
Applying traditional building techniques and materials, alongside modern application processes, we aim to help preserve, restore and enhance our built environment by either using low-carbon, environmentally-friendly alternatives to modern building products, or by using high quality contemporary products. Whenever appropriate and/or necessary, we are dedicated to the use of traditional building materials to help maintain the buildings original status quo.
Our expertise lies in the application and specification of moisture-permeable lime plasters and renders, brick and stone re-pointing, stone conservation, lime washes, distemper and breathable paints, Venetian polished plaster and clay plasters.
We are, of course, also highly skilled at modern gypsum plastering, cement renders, coloured render such as K-rend or Baumit, general building work and in helping to reverse inappropriate building works on period and listed properties.
