Lime render, like lime mortar, is a breathable material that allows moisture created by central heating systems, modern
appliances, body heat and atmospheric conditions to escape through it whilst creating a permeable barrier to deflect rainwater away.
To compliment the natural benefits of the lime plaster and render we use quality lime washes, distempers and mineral or plant based paints on plasters and renders to give a beautifully natural finish.
Apart from looking and feeling much more naturally appealing they also have key environmental and physical health benefits
for our homes, ourselves and our planet.

The application of a feebly hydraulic NHL2 (the most flexible of the bagged lime mortars) lime mortar render on this 400 year old cob and stone farmhouse, would help alleviate the damp issues by removing the rigid, impermeable cement render and allowing the free flow and evaporation of moisture through the walls. Finished with a traditional Tyrolean finish to help create a larger surface area to the render, this enables moisture to be expelled from the surface much faster.
