The ground floor and 1st floor dining area timber floors of this beautiful Georgian property were in need of either sympathetic
repair or complete replacement. After discussions with the clients it was agreed that both floors would be completely replaced with the same rustic barn oak flooring. This would bring a uniformity throughout the house.
After removing the flooring downstairs it was discovered that the two joists nearest the wall were rotten; these were cut and replaced with new joists bolted through the old and sat on a new concrete lintel
The ground floor Morning Room was also fitted with 75mm under floor insulation to help create a cosy morning/breakfast
room for all the family
